This is just a general chit chat. Up early because as you get older, sleep seems the first thing to go. It is amazing how after years of being a wife and mother, having a few minutes to yourself with no noise, no darling where is my..... or mum can you..... is such a joy.
Having said that a smile does come on my face when I see my kids and husband and the noise around does mean a happy family life.
So, I think a balance to life seems to be the key to happy and healthy living. This however has always been a struggle for me and I still find is hard to speak my mind and say no. I have always been the people pleaser and lets just get along type of gal but as I'm getting older some me time is becoming more important and I am taking time for myself.
I am becoming the more strong independent woman I should have been 15 years ago but life is a learning process and with my kids and husband I have learnt a lot about myself, how special I am, and how important I am to the family unit. You always here it, "you have to look after your self before you can look after everybody else". Great in theory, but hard to put in to practice.
But it's me time and I thought I would share my thoughts with all of you. Off to the gym today to continue the healthy part of me time. And will try to start putting some time a side for me, starting today.
