On-line community

Hi everyone,
Today I just wanted to talk about the beautiful on-line community through my blog, twitter and etsy. I have never really been a computer savvy person, my skills were more hands on in making items to sell at a market. However, the skills I have learnt through networking and the wonderful community of nice, friendly people have made this experience great.

A kind word shared by us all is a wonderful and cherished experience. I have learnt so much through this community and hope to continue to grow through this fantastic on-line world. Will keep you posted.

New apron and tea towel

Hi everyone, Have just finished another tea towel with strawerries which I love. All the items I make are part of my crafting family at home and I love every piece. I alway try to give you a story to my items so you can see how I was feeling at the time of purchasing the fabric and what plans I have for it.

I always hope the journey continues when it is purchased and brings lots of love and special memories to those who buy the items. The items are on http://www.etsy.com/shop/runawaywombat?ref=si_shop and if you have any questions just send me an e-mail. Love to hear from you.

Here are some pictures of my latest creations. Mothers Day is just around the corner and if you are after something that is not mass produced check the site. Will keep you posted.

New Year - Resolution. How far have I come

Well, you are probably wondering how the new years resolutions are coming along. Yes, and I can say that on the comuputer front, I am learning new skills. Now, I'll just take you back to my sweety palm incident.

My husband rang me from at home a few years ago and asked if I could turn the computer on as he wanted to send something to me and wanted to make sure that it came through.

Now, to most people this isn't scary but I didn't grow up with computers as the generations of today and, honestly, I thought I would break it. But I did as I was asked and after a few, more then a few anxious moments I turned it on.

You are probably thinking, OMG, but yes, the point to the story is that I am now blogging, selling on-line and tweetering.

So my New Yesrs resolution was to learn more things on the computer and I'm doing that with tweetering and I ask lots of questions about computers to anyone under 40. I suppose you can teach old dogs new tricks and I am willing to learn. The whole social networking has been fun for me and I am amazed at what someone can learn at any age. So on the resolution front I have achieve this goal but this one won't shop here but continue in my quest to learn as much as I can about it. And one important thing I have learnt is Don't just ask but practise the skill on the computer. Will keep you posted.

Once a upon a time - weight loss-getting back on track

Good morning. I do find it funny how the body can start to show signs of lack of exercise very quickly. It's been about a week of no exercise and my back seems to be playing up.

When I'm able to exercise every thing seems to hurt less. Because of one thing or another the exercise has been put on the back burner but my back injury from eight months ago seems to be taking control.

I hear the phase alot of "use it or lose it", and this week this seems the case. So after heat packs, massage and gentle stretches it's a little bit better. So back to the gym for me but the level of the exercise equipment will be reduced. Never lose focus. Am I listening. Will keep you posted.

New apron sets Mix and Match

I have just listed my apron mix an match sets on etsy. I love the idea of receiving the apron in a kitchen container which can be used with a matching tea towel which I thinks makes the perfect gift. Here are the pictures for you to see.

Once a upon a time - weight loss

Aother day, another way to lose the weight. Every day I try to think of something good I can do to lose or at least not gain weight. Here are some of the things I do.

Exercise when you can and as often as you can. Sometimes that can't be done so I try, and I will use that word again for you, try to eat better and make better choices.

Never lose hope that the scales are against you and refuse to go down. Have a positive attitude to the weight lose and don't put a time limit to it. Yes, it would be great to lose the 10kgs in a few weeks. And that was my way of thinking at the beginning. Now, I think, well, it can come off, I have proved that, I'll just keep at it and I will get there. Salad sandwich for lunch. Ravioli for dinner, and just keep plugging away at it.

The weight does come off but it is the effort you put in that gets the results. Will keep you posted.
