Asian cooking

Hi everyone,
I haven't blogged about cooking for awhile and in the last couple of weeks I have being trying some asian cooking.

Now I love asian cuisine with all the flavours. I slowly but surely getting there and trying to make teriyaki chicken. I guess the flavours will never be like the restaurants but with this dish I'm almost there.

The marinade I use is a honey marinade. One tablespoon of oil,one tablespoon of soy sauce and one table spoon of honey. Now I mixed in some mixed italian dried herbs, a couple of shakes of the jar, and one to two cloves of crushed garlic, depending on your taste.

Mix the marinade until it is all combined and add the small pieces of cut chicken breast and put in the fridge for one to two hours. Marinade covers about one chicken breat.This will allow for all the flavours to get into the chicken.

Then put about half a tablespoon of oil in a pan and cook the chicken through. Take the cooked chicken out and add the sliced vegetables to the pan. The juices of the pan will coat the vegetables. Add the cooked chicken back to the pan alittle water to combine the dish to make a nice sauce.

Cook a few minutes so the chicken is cooked through and serve with some steamed rice.

So I thought of combining with the pouch to gives us girls somewhere to put more makeup. Here are the pictures. Yoga session. Now I'm relaxed.

Hi everyone,
It has been awhile but I'm so busy with crafting I have not had much time to blog. On the weight loss challenge. I must say. The last 5kgs or in my case 8kgs is hard to shift.

The head hasn't been there and last week I only went to the gym once. And that was because I had an appointment with the trainer. I know, I know. I'm angry at myself as well. But, it was because I went to the gym that I felt so bad, letting the trainer down, that I was able ( NO, made myself) go the next two days. Now there is now gym today but I'm going to make sure I go this week at least 3 times. Yes, 3 times.

As I told the trainer, I'm not here because I love the gym. It's OK. I have my days, where I love it, days I could quite easierly live without it and not even miss it.

But the reality is that I feel better, stronger and happier. So I go, not everyday but I do make some effort.

Now that I caught you up to speed. Here is the low down with the yoga. Yes, I inquired about the yoga session, and thought about it long and hard. And yes the first time was not great but I went to the body balance class and not the relaxing yoga class. So, off I went again, to give it another go. I made sure it was the relaxing yoga class and was alittle worried. But I thought this one is for me. The exercises were more gentle and it was very much about breathing, slow stretches and blocking out the world and focus on oneself. Now being a mum I haven't focused about myself, since I can't remember. It's always been about family and my need, what are they?

So this class was great and I didn't believe what a lot of people were saying, but I was actually more relaxed at the end of the class with what seemed like more energy. I don't know where it came from but it was there.

So I will try this yoga again and hope I get the same result.More crafty items to show you. Will post them soon.

I have been busy creating and socializing today. I am in the process of finishing another apron mini in lemon polka dots. Yesterday I completed another brush roll in this beautiful lemon fabric. These brush rolls with the extra zip really make life easier when traveling with your makeup.

Just completed another brush roll in bright red. A striking colour similar to a bright lipstick. I'm really happy with these as I do add an extra pocket for those bigger brushes we alway want to take with us.

Brush rolls - my lastest love

I finished and listed this latest brush roll a couple of days ago and have just had time to blog today to catch you up with my crafting side. This latest brush roll was what I always wanted from these rolls.

Space for all my brushes but there was always one or two brushes that wouldn't fit. So I an extra pocket seemed the obvious choice. Here are the pictures and I am in the process of making more. Stay tuned for the next ones to come.
